I have had a cold for about three weeks. It wasn't that bad at the beginning so I thought it would a pretty mild one. So felt better and went on with my life. But it did not seem to want to go away. This last weekend I did not do a thing, lied on the couch, slept and watched TV. Felt better but this week it got worse. I finally decided to stay home today. I went to the walk in clinic down the street and the physician assistant said I had a cold and it would eventually go away. I knew that, but she did confirm I am not getting pneumonia, a concern since I had if before and might be susceptible to it now. I am really getting tired of it.

Up early to call D-Link to try and change my order. My Media Center froze up and would not come on. I unplugged and restarted 5 times, nothing. How am I going to watch the 753 videos I have stored on my PC? Well, it was 7 years old, I got a lot of use out it.
So I ordered a new one and thought everything was OK, but later after reading about the model I ordered it did not have the Play feature I wanted. It has not shipped yet so I thought I would see if could change the order before it left the warehouse. I called yesterday and the recording said their business hours were 6:00 AM to 12:00 PM Pacific Standard time. So I got up the this morning at 6:00 and called and then the recording said their US office opens at 7:00. Two minutes to go to fix this debacle.

I go shopping once a year, I mean shoping for gifts and what not. Not shopping for undewear, I do that online. So while I am shopping it reminds me of why I only do this kind of shopping once a year. I did get some good stuff and I think my family will apprecite my efforts, but I do have better things to do than walking around a mall. Things like working on the Phi Tau website so my good friend Chuck Yeagermeister doesn't get all CIC or CID on me.

What was the name of the dragon on the Munster's that lived under the stairs? I believe it was Eddie's pet.

The next day we attended a brewfest in the downtown park. We met our friends Scott and Lisa and proceeded to drink some good beer and listen to some bad music. It should be a law that the only music that can be played at brewfests is surf music. Later we went down to the Sheraton and had a drink before heading to dinner. All in all a great day and a great weekend.

It must be nice to get up, get a cup of coffee, walk 20 feet to work in your pajamas.

And my Dad never thought renting Animal House twenty nine times in two months was a good thing, boy did I prove him wrong. Well, I don't know that I proved him wrong, but I did manage to set up my fraternity's website. Along the way I had to re-learn html and learn PHP to get the site up and that was not easy. But my eteranl motivation was always the man who crystalized my objectives in higher education.
